Amy Stahl, MS, PT
Physical Therapist / Owner
Amy was born in Phoenix Arizona. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Exercise Science then went on to graduate from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She has eleven years experience in out-patient orthopedic physical therapy with an emphasis on spine rehabilitation. Amy has eight years in program development and treatment utilizing MedX equipment. She is also a certified Kinesio Taping Instructor and practitioner with international teaching experiences in Europe and Asia.
Andrew Stahl, MS, PT
Physical Therapist / Owner
Andrew was born in Grand Junction, Colorado. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Exercise Science, then went on to graduate from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. He was a collegiate swimmer while at NAU. He has 11 years of experience in out-patient orthopedic physical therapy and clinic management and 6 years in program development and treatment utilizing MedX equipment. He specializes in rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries and pre/post operative injuries. He is also a certified Kinesio Taping practitioner. He has had significant experience in shoulder rehab for swimmers. The combination of his swimming experiences in the pool as well as his physical therapy education have helped him understand the mechanisms of injury for swimmers.
Valerie Wittmeier Potter, MS, DPT
Physical Therapist
Raised in farm belt of US, grew up feeding cows, walking corn fields and towing bails of hay! My education started at the University of South Dakota with a Bachelors of Science in 1982, continued at Colorado State University completing a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology with emphasis in sport medicine in 1992. In 1997 I graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University located in Omaha, Nebraska. Combined time spent in fitness training, group exercise instruction and physical therapy total over 18 years! While I have completed a variety of manual therapy courses covering every body segment, my emphasis and strength continues in treatment of low back pain, sacral iliac dysfunctions and cervical spine. I became certified in Pilates mat and reformer instruction in 1999 and Vini Yoga instruction in 2008. I incorporate these core concepts into my therapy treatments as well as education of body integration and movement patterns.
Mia Ramsey, DPT
Physical Therapist
Mia Ramsey, DPT, received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics with a wide variety of patient populations ranging from children to geriatrics, covering a variety of injuries, from sports related injuries to overuse, postural or traumatic injuries. Mia’s previous continuing education has included courses from the Postural Restoration Institute, McKenzie Institute and Muscle Activation Therapy. Over the next couple of years, Mia hopes to pursue continuing education in therapeutic Yoga and obstetrical physical therapy. Mia is originally from Wisconsin, moved to Arizona and now proudly calls Fort Collins her home and loves it. She enjoys reading, writing, running, yoga, hiking and playing with her two daughters.
Karyn Fereday, MS, PT
Physical Therapist
Karyn graduated from the University of Toronto in 1996 and obtained her Masters of Physiotherapy Manipulative Studies from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2000. Karyn has worked in a range of multi-disciplinary settings, working closely with surgeons, sport physicians, massage therapists, orthotists and personal trainers. Her post-graduate studies and subsequent experience have allowed her to develop specialized skills in the accurate assessment and treatment of both spinal and peripheral conditions. Karyn is a certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) Practitioner, a form of dry needling, which has proven very successful in restoring muscle balance in acute and chronic injuries.
She has been working in a private practice as a manual therapist for 14 years. She has a particular interest in the treatment of repetitive strain injuries of the upper quadrant, the treatment of headaches and associated cervical conditions, the treatment of chronic low back pain and the use of core stabilization in treatment.
Karyn believes pain and injury can disrupt all aspects of life; therefore the primary goal of treatment is to return the patient to their activities as quickly and effectively as possible. She has worked with a variety of individuals, including elite and recreational athletes and holds the belief that the same approach should be taken when treating all individuals including the elite, the recreational athlete and the non-exercising individual. Karyn gets a large amount of her job satisfaction from helping people get back to living the life they want to lead.
Nāyle Gonzalez
Office Manager
My name is Nāyle Gonzalez and I am the Patient Services Rep/Office Manager here at C.O.R.E.. I was born and raised in Mississippi where we had a working farm and grew soybeans, Milo and corn. We also raised pigs, cows and chickens and had many horses. I then moved to Tennessee to attend school (Liberal Studies/Child Psychology). In 2000 I moved to CO and met my gorgeous, kind Mexican husband 3 years later. We now have 2 dogs named Truman and Jack and a beautiful son named Quino. My goal is to restore a wooden boat and sail around the world.
Ed Litter, MT
Massage Therapist
Ed Litter, MT went to the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and graduated with honors in 1998. He specialized in orthopedic, also known as deep tissue massage. Ed worked for McKee Medical Center Rehabilitation Clinic, working on patient’s injuries and doing post surgical and rehab massage. He also was a massage therapist at McKee’s Holistic Clinic. Ed’s massages are treatment oriented, utilizing good anatomy skills to understand the root cause of a problem. He moderates physical pressure, using only enough to encourage muscle release without causing undue pain or excessive softness. Ed’s other passion is practicing CFQ Qigong energy work. He is a certified instructor in CFQ techniques. He integrates body energy work smoothly into his massage sessions.
Whitney Nguyen, MT
Massage Therapist
Hello, my name is Whitney Nguyen, and I am licensed to practice massage therapy in the state of Colorado. I graduated from Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1997 with over 1,000 hours of hands-on training and classroom education, which is more than double the 500 hours of schooling required by the State of Colorado to practice massage. I have been practicing massage for over 12 years. In my 12 years I have had my own private practice, worked for Dr. Gary Ellingson at his Oralfacial Pain Clinic, and worked at C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy. At the Oral Facial Pain Clinic my work focused on treating patients with headaches, migraines, jaw pain and dysfunction (TMJ), and neck pain. At C.O.R.E., and in my private practice, my work focuses on corrective work where I often treat headaches, migraine, TMJ, neck, back, and pelvis pain. This work will often consist of many different styles of massage to cater the session to meet the clients specific needs. I have a passion to learn about the human body and regularly take continuing education classes.
